Waste management

Waste management for housing and holiday housing in Enontekiö is organised by Lapeco Ltd – Joint Municipal Authority for Waste Management in Lapland. Residential waste constitutes all waste generated in housing, such as waste generated in permanent housing, holiday homes, dormitories and other housing, including sludge from septic tanks and cesspools. Waste generated in holiday homes is mainly waste from privately owned summer cottages, rented holiday cottages and shares, and other similar residential holiday buildings.
