Using the self-service library
A self-service library means that you can visit the library even when there is no staff present. You can enter the library with your library card and a personal identification number. The PIN is the same one you use for the online library.
In the self-service library, borrowing and returning are automated. The library has installed camera surveillance, and these recordings are used if any misuse should occur. Before closing, announcements will tell you well in advance that the self-service period is ending and the library is closing. The lighting and the borrowing machine will turn off automatically at the end of the self-service period. You can come and learn how to use the self-service library with the help of the staff during normal library opening hours.
There are no changes to the normal library service hours with staff present as usual.
Self-service library opening hours outside service hours are Mon-Sun 7 AM–9 PM.
